THIRD SECTION DECISION Application no. 41247/17 Vusala SADIGOVA against Azerbaijan The European Court of Human Rights (Third Section), sitting on 22 May 2025 as a Committee composed of: Oddný Mjöll Arnardóttir , President , Úna Ní Raifeartaigh, Mateja Đurović , judges , and Viktoriya Maradudina, Acting Deputy Section Registrar, Having regard to the above application lodged on 30 May 2017, Having deliberated, decides as follows: FACTS AND PROCEDURE The applicant, Ms Vusala Jamal gizi Sadigova, was born in 1969. She was represented by Mr K. Bagirov, a lawyer based in Azerbaijan. The applicant’s complaints under Articles 5, 6, 8 and 13 of the Convention and Article 1 of Protocol No. 1 to the Convention concerning mainly the allegedly unlawful demolition of her property were communicated to the Azerbaijani Government (“the Government”). On 19 March 2025 the applicant informed the Registry that she wanted to withdraw the application to the Court as she had received compensation for her property. THE LAW In the light of the foregoing, the Court concludes that the applicant may be regarded as no longer wishing to pursue the application (Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention). Furthermore, in accordance with Article 37 § 1 in fine , the Court finds no special circumstances regarding respect for human rights as defined in the Convention and the Protocols thereto which require the continued examination of the application. Accordingly, the case should be struck out of the list. For these reasons, the Court, unanimously, Decides to strike the application out of its list of cases.
