SECOND SECTION DECISION Application no. 18413/24 Zsigmond LOSÓ against Hungary The European Court of Human Rights (Second Section), sitting on 27 February 2025 as a Committee composed of: Gediminas Sagatys, President, Stéphane Pisani, Juha Lavapuro, judges, and Attila Teplán, Acting Deputy Section Registrar, Having regard to the above application lodged on 20 June 2024, Having deliberated, decides as follows: FACTS AND PROCEDURE The applicant, Mr Zsigmond Losó, was born in 1958. The applicant was represented by Mr D. Kiss, a lawyer practising in Budapest. The applicant’s complaints under Article 5 § 3 of the Convention concerning the length of his pre-trial detention were communicated to the Hungarian Government (“the Government”). On 20 January 2025 the applicant’s representative informed the Registry that the applicant had died and that his application to the Court would not be pursued. No heir has come forth. THE LAW In the light of the foregoing, the Court concludes that the case should be struck out of the list, in application of Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention. For these reasons, the Court, unanimously, Decides to strike the application out of its list of cases. Done in English and notified in writing on 20 March 2025.
