McNULTY, Secretary to the Commission Having regard to the Application lodged on 14th November 1966, by P.K. against Denmark and registered on 30th November 1966, under file No. 2980/66; Having regard to the report provided for in Rule 45, paragraph 1, of the Rules of Procedure of the Commission; Having deliberated, D 19.849 06.2/31 2980/66 ~2< whereas the facts presented by the applicant may be summarised as follows: The applicant is a Danish citizen born in Odense and at present detained in the State Hospital at Glostrup. He states that he has been detained there for ten years "under some pretext" and that for twenty years he has been the victim of treatment that has often put his life in danger. He affirms that his case has been examined in 1958 "by all domestic authorities" except the High Court to which, according to him, such a case cannot be submitted. He does, however, give no further details or submit copies of the decisions concerned. In 1962 he married and was released as being normal. But he alleges that also during the time of his release he and his wife have been victims of attempts on their lives and that his apartment was searched and that his telephone was supervised. He attributes these actions to "some anonymous person or group." In this connection, he also mentions the name of the head doctor at Glostrup, Dr. Arentsen. A letter from the Secretariat was received by him on 26th June 1967, at an address in Ballerup. By a letter indicating again the Glostrup hospital as his address, he informed the Commission that he wishes to withdraw his Application. He gave no further explanation.
